Otthon Hanuka kiadás / Home Hanukkah Edition
Hanukai ünneplés az Otthon kiállítás keretében. Gyertek pontosan 6-ra, mert lemaradtok a gyetyagyújtásról! Ariel Pollak, Berlinben élő rabbi tart beszédet a Hanuka és az otthon kapcsán.
A kiállításról:
A magyar és külföldi fiatal alkotók fotó-, film- és hanginstallációiból született csoportos kiállítás az otthon témakörét járja körül. Az önmagunk által kisajátított fizikai tér és az objektíve nehezen definiálható képzet – az otthon -, amire a kiállító művészek a szó jelentéstartalmán keresztül, annak különböző nyelvekben való megjelenésére reflektálnak. Az otthonteremtés vágya, az otthon hiánya, az otthon valamilyen okból való elhagyása jelenik meg az alkotásokban konkrét és átvitt értelemben egyaránt, hiszen a haza, a lakóhely, a család, a tulajdon, illetve az üresség, amit betölteni vágyunk, mind lehetnek szinonimái az otthonnak.

About the exhibition:
This group exhibition – photo, video and sound installations by young Hungarian and foreign artists – explores the theme of home. A physical segment of space that we appropriate for ourselves and an idea that is hard to define in an objective manner: this is home. The exhibiting artists reflect upon this by emphasizing a certain meaning and the appearance of the word in different languages. Themes reappearing in the works, both in the literal and abstract sense of the word, are the desire to build a home, lack of a home and leaving home for another place. Homeland, address of residence, family, property and the void we are looking to fill are all possible synonyms of the word.
