Yair Qedar, a „The Fourth Window” rendezője a vetítés után mesél az Amos Oz izraeli regényíróról szóló lenyűgöző és mélyreható dokumentumfilmjének elkészítéséről, amely az író kettős tragédiáját tárja fel a szerelem és a sötétség érzékeny portréjaként. Yair Qedar filmrendező, LMBTQ aktivista. A 20. századi héber irodalomról szerzett végzettsége alapozta meg The Hebrews című dokumentumfilmjét, amely a héber és a zsidó irodalmi kánonról szól. További dokumentumfilmjei: Az ébredő és a Zelda: Egy egyszerű nő (2015), A hét szalag (2012) és a Meleg napok (2009).
Dr. Roni Dorot a CEU Média-, Adat- és Társadalomkutató Központjának (CMDS) kutatója. Jelenleg a Haaretz „Documania” blogjának szerzője, ahol kulturális és szociológiai szempontból kritikusan elemzi a dokumentumfilmeket.

Yair Qedar is a filmmaker and a LMBTQ-rights activist. His academic training on 20th-century Hebrew literature, propelled him into The Hebrews — a documentary project on the Hebrew and Jewish literary canon. Other documentaries include The Awakener and Zelda: A Simple Woman (2015) The Seven Tapes (2012), and Gay Days (2009).

Yair Qedar, director of “The Fourth Window”, is invited to discuss the making of his engaging and in-depth documentary of seminal Israeli novelist Amos Oz, which unveils the writer’s double tragedy in a sensitive portrait of love and darkness. The discussion will be moderated by Dr Roni Dorot, writer of the blog ‘Documania’ in Haaretz newspaper.
Dr Roni Dorot is a researcher for the Center for Media, Data and Society (CMDS) of the central European University. She currently writes for Haaretz newspaper her blog ‘Documania’ where she critically analyses documentaries from a cultural and sociological perspective.
