When Disagreement is Silenced: Jewish Hungary

What happens to a society where all disagreements are silenced?
– How can the Jewish community respond?
With democracy under attack, Hungary faces scary times. Still, despite this turbulent backdrop, one of Europe’s largest Jewish communities continues its revival. Invested in strengthening her Jewish community and society at large, Borcsa Lakos, founder of Talmud Not Only For Women (Talmud NOW) aims to bring Talmud study to Hungarian Jews to help them connect to their Jewish identity.
Join Borcsa Lemberger-Lakos Borcsa and JTS students Viktoria Bedo and Benjy Forester for a night of Talmud study and discussion to learn more about Talmud NOW and their tremendous impact on Hungarian Jewry.
Kosher pizza and other snacks/refreshments will be served for dinner!!! Sorry we couldn’t provide Hungarian Gulash 🙁 Looking forward to seeing you there! Egészségedre (L’chaim) !!
