Raoul Wallenberg Commemoration
On 17 January 1945 Swedish diplomat, humanitarian and hero Raoul Wallenberg was abducted by Soviet forces.
We will remember Raoul and his legacy on 17 January at 16.30, at the corner of Pozsonyi út and Raoul Wallenberg utca.
Speakers at the ceremony will be:
H.E. Dag Hartelius, Ambassador of Sweden.
Dr. József Sebes, Chairman of the Raoul Wallenberg Association.
Fr. Zoltán Horváth, Priest of St. Teresa of Avila Parish Church.
Mr. András Heisler, President of the Federation of Hungarian Jewish Communities (Mazsihisz).
Interpretation to English and Hungarian will be provided.
Please bring a single flower to be placed at the memorial plaque.
